KTheChosen is your Friendly Neighbourhood Rapper and creates music that is both entertaining and enlightening. K (as he is affectionately known) was born and raised in Zimbabwe and is currently based in Calgary. He believes in the power of storytelling and uses his voice to share the experiences of those around him.

2023 was a a busy year for K, as he was selected as an artist mentor through the Woezo Africa Black Art Development program as well as hosted and curated “Ship Hop”, a quarterly hip hop showcase at the Ship and Anchor. He performed at several festivals including Big Winter Classic and East Town Get Down and also

released his latest EP, “IRL”. This project introduced a new persona known as “Heartbreak K”. He loves to host live shows sharing his energy with the audience through humourous crowd interaction and freestyle rap.
