EPHEMERA honours the elements that we have conflicting emotions about during our coldest season and present them in a way that highlights their temporary states. Created as an immersive installation, when you step into the open-air cube, you will be immersed in an overhead suspended install of warmly illuminated liquid with organically shaped acrylic sculptures and suspended ice spheres that evolve over the duration of Chinook Blast. The mobile like install captures the nuances of the repeated freeze and thaw we experience during this part of the season. We invite visitors to pause and sit within the ephemeral space and listen to the ambient sounds of ice cracking water dripping fused into experimental beats.
