Chinook Blast is back for its fifth year and we’re gearing up for another WINTERRRRIFIC experience! 

Mark your calendars for January 31 to February 17, 2025! Get ready to explore Calgary’s chinook season through live music, art installations, performances, food, and more!

With Olympic Plaza under construction, we’re reimagining our festival to bring you the best of Chinook Blast in new and exciting ways. This year, our core programming will be happening in two main locations.

Step into winter magic along Stephen Avenue

We’re bringing all the magic to a concentrated space along Stephen Avenue. From 1st SE to 3rd St SW, you’ll experience vibrant lights, captivating arts, dynamic performances, and plenty of family-friendly winter fun, all within 4 blocks! Join us for an unforgettable celebration of winter, reimagined!

Get Active at Our All-New Winter Sport Hub

The Confluence will be the new hub for day time and sporting programs, previously held at Olympic Plaza. Think action-packed sporting, outdoor and skating activities that bring joy, thrills, and family fun. 

And of course, our partners including One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo, Calgary Folk Festival’s Block Heater, Ethnik Festival and more will be putting on their festivals and programming before to warm you up to Chinook Blast and keep the party going after.
